Is there a down payment for custom work?
Yes, we do require a 30% deposit on any custom work. The balance is due upon pickup or delivery.
I am not sure how I want to refinish my dining table. Do you offer suggestions and options to clients before they make selections?
Yes, in fact this is our favorite part! We love working with you to create a special piece of furniture that has personality to enhance your space. We can visit your space in person or work together via text/email to create a plan for your custom work.
I love that you build furniture. How is buying furniture built to order better than shopping at a highway furniture store?
QUALITY! We are a small group of local artisans, and we make every cut on every piece of lumber with our own hands and tools right here in Bergen County. We take so much pride in our work, and can offer you options that the box stores cannot. Also, we are not mass-producing, so we can use 100% hardwoods and apply all finishes by hand. There are no two pieces that are exactly alike. We can finish in ANY color or stain, and can match your measurements.
I have a room that needs an update. A few pieces that could work in the space, but I'm unsure how they would work. Do you offer in-home consultations?
Yes! Contact Rachel to set up an in-home consult. She will assess your space, get an idea of your needs and work with you to come up with a game plan to create special pieces to work for you and enhance your home.
I know your workshop is in Oakland, NJ. My piece doesn't fit in my car. Do you offer pickup and delivery services?
We offer local pickup and delivery if you live within 50 miles of us (Northern NJ/NY/Long Island/CT.) You can get an instant delivery estimate by adding an item from our online store to your cart which will bring you to the shopping cart overview page. After, while on the shopping cart page, enter your zip code and click “Calculate Delivery Fee.”
I have a beautiful piece of furniture that I don't want anymore. Do you buy used furniture?
We are very selective in choosing pieces that we take on for our clients and our online inventory. If we think it’s something we can use then we will purchase. Another option is consignment. If we determine that an item would work as a consignment piece, we will add it to our online options for our clients to choose and purchase. We are always happy to take a look, and even if we can’t take it, we are glad to offer suggestions for removal.
